The One-Lane AI Review Starter Kit

Use a second model to check one rule you care about, save the verdict, and keep the final decision with a human.

What this solves

Give the reviewer one clear job.

A review lane checks a draft against one rule, rather than asking a model to “make it better.” The reviewer quotes the exact text, rates the severity, and proposes the smallest fix. It never applies the fix. You rule.

This is the smallest working version of the multi-model review system I used to build this site: roughly 100 verdicts across three model families for under $2.

Pick your level

Start with the version you can use today.

Level 1

Manual

Two chat windows, one review rule, about 15 minutes.

Level 2

Folder-based

Saved roles, verdicts, and rulings for Claude Code or Cowork.

Level 3

Agent-ready

Give the Markdown file to an agent and build the system together.

The basic workflow

Review, save, and rule.

  1. Choose one rule. Select a specific rule for claims, voice, compliance, or another decision you care about.
  2. Attach the source of truth. Give the reviewer the fact sheet, voice guide, claims library, or other context the rule depends on.
  3. Use an independent reviewer. Have a model that did not write the draft perform the review.
  4. Save and rule. Save the verdict, then accept, reject, or waive each finding with a reason.
  5. Improve the next review. Turn repeated decisions into standing review guidance.

What you end up with

A review process you can inspect later.

  • A reusable reviewer role
  • Verdicts saved with the draft and model details
  • A record of accepted, rejected, and waived findings
  • Standing guidance that improves the next review
